AHDS’s master technicians utilize proprietary methods, customized dent removal tools and techniques learned only through experience to gently massage dents out of your vehicle panels that were caused by hail damage. Each vehicle is different and requires different tools contingent upon the factory bracing underneath the panels of the vehicle. The special tools and techniques mitigate any sort of paintwork having to be done as all repairs are completed from underneath the panels. Due to the experience level of our technicians, we can repair dents much larger than most of our competition.
Your factory paint job is the best paint job you will ever have on a vehicle and PDR retains your factory paint job. PDR does not involve sanding, utilizing filler or having to repaint thus keeping your vehicle’s value higher. The structural integrity is not affected by PDR and your vehicle will retain all of your OEM parts. Whereas body shops will cut the roof off of your car and weld a new one back on, with PDR we gently massage the metal back into place; PDR allows for a much quicker repair time and is considered the better repair by all insurance companies when it is possible.
No. Many of our customers are initially hesitant to file a hail claim because they think their rates will increase. Hail claims fall in the comprehensive coverage category and is considered an “Act of God” on the insurance policy. What this means is that a hailstorm is completely out of your control and that no liability of fault can occur. Raising insurance rates based on hail claims is illegal and insurance companies
can be held liable and fined if this occurs.
No. PDR requires no painting or body work and therefor does not have to be reported to CarFax or attached to the VIN number. PDR is actually the only method which allows you to retain the full value of your vehicle after a hailstorm.
No. Once a vehicle has been repaired through the PDR method, the dents will not return in any form. Metal has a memory and once realigned to its original form, it will stay there. Our work is guaranteed by a Lifetime Warranty.
We would recommend against attempting to perform PDR yourself as it takes a long time to learn how to perform PDR properly. We have had some customers which attempted repairs themselves and the vehicle ended up needing to have body work as they pushed to hard and either stretched the metal and/or cracked the paint.
Most first estimates from insurance companies are written under where they should be, this is an industry norm. Most vehicles require AHDS to send in a supplemental estimate to the insurance company for damage that was left out. The supplemental estimate is always an estimate which is agreed upon by the shop and the insurance company. Your agreement with AHDS is solely for the insurance estimate, so even if we do not agree with the insurance company price, we will still repair the vehicle as
it is our agreement will all of our customers.
If you have already received a first estimate, we suggest setting up a meeting with AHDS to determine if the first estimate is written correctly or not. If the first estimate is written correctly we can schedule a day and time to repair your vehicle. If the first estimate is not written correctly, we will schedule a day and time to write a supplement and begin dealing with the insurance company to get the proper
amount approved. If there are panels which are written correctly, we can also begin repairing those panels while waiting on the supplemental estimate to be approved. About 95% of the first estimates we see are written incorrectly due to improper lighting and/or attempting to do quantity of estimates rather than quality.
If your vehicle has a lien holder, by law you are required to have the vehicle repaired as the lien holder has a vested interest in the vehicle. We can work directly with your lien holder to provide verification that the vehicle has been repaired.
No. AHDS will cover your deductible and rental vehicle to ensure you do not pay anything out-of-pocket.
